About this dimension

Learn to read landscapes and ecosystems and to design human settlements that regenerate rather than deplete. The Ecological dimension covers whole-systems thinking, water stewardship, local food and bioregionalism, appropriate technology, and renewable energy across five core modules.

Common questions

No. GEDS is designed to welcome curious beginners as well as seasoned practitioners. The cohort format means you learn alongside people from many backgrounds.
Plan for around 10 hours per week, including one live session, self-paced lessons, and assignments. Most of the schedule is flexible.
Yes. Each dimension is a complete cohort you can enroll in on its own. You can also take the full year to earn the GEDS Certificate via the Design Studio.
Both. Weekly live sessions on Zoom with your facilitator and cohort, plus self-paced lessons, readings, and assignments.
All live sessions are recorded. You can catch up on your own time and stay engaged in the cohort forum between sessions.
